Under the guise of Islam, women have been virtually stripped of all rights no education, no instigation of divorce, no travel by oneself, no deviation the home, etc.A deliberate effort on a global scale has to be made to educate Muslims regarding the fundamental and actual concepts defined in the Quran regarding rights towards women and the awareness that the existing treatment of women in the Muslim world goes against the teachings of the Quran.
